Any knowledge is embodied in a huge number of objects and artifacts, subordinating the configuration of these objects to the logics and meanings that it (knowledge) contains. Accordingly, any visual languages in one way or another contain a certain “flavor” of those epistemological systems within which they were produced. The interface of a smartphone, the layout of a printed publication, a map in a history textbook - all this is not only at the level of semantics, but also at the level of syntax is also a projection of ideology and power relations.
